Biography Menno Lam (1970) is a specialist in providing customized design in the field of architecture and environment. He loves to use his knowledge and passion to create 'living environments' for his clients. After succesfully completing a bachelor's program at the faculty of building engineering and architecture at the institute of technology, he also graduate succesfully at the Academy of Architecture in Rotterdam. As a student he got valuable practical experience at various architectural firms and building contractors. After graduating the he worked at several architectural firms on large and small scale projects, ranging from small interior contracts to large scale complex buildings. Some of his projects where awarded with architectural prices. Because of his interest in the relationship between man, building and the (natural) environment Menno has done various study and studies. He did research into the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and John Lautner, two famous American architects. Menno Lam also followed an international master class at the leading Australian architect Glenn Murcutt (Pritzker Prize winner 2002, IAI Gold Medal 2008). During this period he also came into contact with the inspiring architects Richard Leplastrier and Peter Stutchbuy. In order to give more expression to his enthusiastic nature, expertise, personal vision and commitment he founded LAM architects. Menno is a member of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects and is an regestered architect (SBA nr. 1.010101.014) |
